Career Summary:
Pierluca Palombella obtained his Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Salento (Italy) in April 2025, with a thesis carried out at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics on hypersonic propulsion systems. He is currently enrolled in a PhD program at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) within the Horizon Europe 2023 DESIRE project, focusing on the dynamics and instabilities of hydrogen/ammonia combustion for industrial applications, aiming to reduce pollutant emissions and support decarbonization. He also completed an Advanced Master’s program at Leonardo S.p.A., specialising in aerospace materials characterisation.
