Career Summary:
Mehdi Riis began his PhD in early 2024 under the supervision of Prof. Axel Coussement at ULB. His research focuses on improving the PaSR combustion model with the goal of developing a generalised formulation applicable to a wide range of operating conditions.
Since August 2022, he has been a researcher in the ATM department, initially working on the HECO2 project, focusing on the electrification of the Multiple Hearth Furnace. In parallel, he continued the work from his Master’s thesis, which has now evolved into the subject of his PhD.
