Career Summary:
Aysu Özden obtained her M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University (2019), where her thesis focused on real gas effects on cold gas thruster performance through numerical simulations and vacuum condition testing. She then worked for three years as a propulsion system design engineer in the defense industry in Turkey.
She is currently pursuing a joint PhD in Aero-Thermo-Mechanics at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), with research centered on the implementation of multi-fidelity reduced-order models for the development of digital twins of combustion systems.
