Career Summary:
Antoine Ghyoot graduated from UCLouvain in 2023 with a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Aeronautics and Energy. My Master’s thesis focused on implementing thermal non-equilibrium models in the high-order discontinuous Galerkin solver Argo, developed at Cenaero. Subsequently, I pursued an additional Master’s degree in Management Sciences at UCLouvain. Since October 2024, he has been conducting his PhD research jointly at ULB, ULg, and VKI. In July 2025, Antoine Ghyoot with his research group was selected for an exchange program at NASA Ames Research Center to investigate hypersonic boundary layer transition on blunt cone geometries.
Main Research Topics and Interests:
- Highly-compressible phenomena
- High-order numerical methods
- Hypersonic
- Laminar-to-turbulent transition
- Discontinuous Galerkin schemes
- Fluid dynamics
