Career Summary:
Alessandro Piscopo is a PhD Student in Cotutelle between ULB and UMons, working on the development of a hydrogen-compatible burner for the combustion chamber of a micro gas turbine. The project aims to enable efficient and stable combustion of pure hydrogen in micro gas turbine systems. He graduated from ULB in Electromechanical Engineering (2017–2022), with a specialisation in Energy, completed a Master’s thesis in collaboration with Ansys, focusing on CFD of supersonic combustion engines.
