ATM-07

ATM-07 is an aero-engine oil system test rig dedicated to the study of heat-exchangers (air cooled oil cooler) and developed in the context of the INHex project (Skywin). The main element of the rig is an open-loop wind tunnel able to reproduce the secondary flow of the turbofan above or inside the heat-exchanger. The compressor used to reach those flow velocities is a 75 kW screw compressor able to generate up to 450 g/s of air at 1 bar of relative pressure. An electrical heater is used on the line to warm this flowrate.

The test rig is equipped with temperature, pressure and flow rate sensors, as well as Pitot tubes and multiple inlet Pitot tubes. A hot wire sensor is also available for turbulence analysis.
