ATM-02 is an aero-engine oil system test rig developed in collaboration with Safran Aircraft Engines, Safran Helicopter Engines, and Safran Transmission Systems. This rig is specifically designed to test brush seals for modern turbofan engines used in commercial aircraft, as well as separators (de-oilers) for helicopter turboshaft engines and aircraft turbofans.

Compared to the ATM-01 rig, ATM-02 is a smaller-scale setup with lower maximum oil flow rate, temperature, and pressure. It does not include a vacuum system. Heating is provided via an oil bath in the oil tank. Compressed air is supplied by a screw compressor equipped with a dryer and filters, enabling flow rates of up to 110 g/s. The rig also features a 20,000 rpm electric motor mounted on a pulley system to drive the test equipment.

A laser diffraction system is available for studying sprays and droplets. It includes two lenses capable of measuring droplet sizes ranging from 0.5 µm to 1750 µm.
